Il est cependant indispensable de respecter quelques étapes importantes et surtout d’acheter une recharge de gaz pour briquet de qualité comme un gaz zéro impureté par exemple.

To refill your lighter, you need the following equipment:

Une recharge gaz pour briquet de qualité (Gaz butane)
A small screwdriver or a sharp knife

Avant de recharger votre briquet, n’oubliez pas de le purger (le vider en gaz)

Before refilling your lighter, make sure it is completely empty of gas and air. To ensure this, use a pen, screwdriver or knife and press the refill valve to empty the air that has accumulated. In fact, most lighter failures are caused by an overflow of accumulated air and prevent contact with the spark.

Shake the gas refill before use and only squeeze it when the nozzle is pushed into the filling valve of the lighter.
Press for about 5 seconds and repeat 3 times.
Wait a few minutes for the gas to reach room temperature.
Adjust the flame intensity to the desired height.
Light your lighter. If the flame is still absent or too weak, repeat the operation.

If during filling you notice leaks or hear a whistling sound, the refill tip is not correctly positioned in the valve or the refill tip is not adapted to the valve diameter. Use a suitable tip.

Precautions

Do not refill your lighter immediately after use. It is important that the lighter is completely cold.
The flame intensity must be set at minimum.
Keep your lighter away from your face
ALWAYS fill your lighter upside down (upside down), the same applies to gas refills.
